The Formation Process Of Pebbles

Pebbles can be formed by both river erosion and mutual friction. They may have been created by historical floods or mudslides (as this is generally the case in mountainous areas), but the specific cause depends on the geological structure, geographical environment, and the condition of surrounding mountains. Around 100 million years ago, during the Mesozoic Era, magma erupted to the surface due to crustal movement. The rapidly cooled magma formed granite. Several thousand years later, magma intrusion caused the granite to shift and compress, creating numerous smaller stones. These stones near water, through long-term slow erosion and mutual rolling, eventually formed the pebbles we see today. Some were rounded by weathering, becoming pebbles in the process.
